William Oliver Davis, age 78, of Selma passed away on July 1, 2019 at his home.  Born in Johnston County on June 26, 1941, he was the son of the late John C. and Sallie Oliver Davis.  His wife was the late Hildagard Glomp Davis.  Mr. Davis was a retired Surveyor with the United States Army.

The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma on Wednesday from 3:30 – 4:30 pm followed by funeral services at 4:30 in the chapel.  Entombment will be in the Price Cemetery with Military Honors.

Surviving are sons, Freddy Davis and wife Lanelle of Dothan, AL, William O. "Tom" Davis, Jr. and wife Diane of Kinston, Michael Davis and wife Susan of Kenly, John C. Davis II and wife Michelle of Kenly, and Robert Andreas and wife Tracy of Selma; daughter Mary Burke and husband Brian of Smithfield; sister, Ruth Raper and husband Johnny of Elm City; 24 grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
