Four Oaks – Thurman Rudolph Creech Senior, age 77, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020, in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield. He was born on May 20, 1943, a son of the late Herbert R. and Clarkie Myeres. Creech in Johnston County. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Clarkie Sue Creech, brother, Kenneth Creech, and granddaughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Mitchell. During his life he enjoyed working on cars, dancing, fishing, eating ice cream, but most importantly he loved his family. He adored the love of his life, Liz Ward, the mother of his children.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, with a burial to follow in the Price Cemetery in Pine Level. The family will receive visitors on Friday night from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by the love of his life Elizabeth Ward, sons, Thurman R. Creech Jr. (wife Beverley) of Brogden, and Herbert A. Creech (wife Amy) of Selma, daughter, Naomi L. Parker (husband Garry) of Four Oaks, sisters, Josephine Braswell (husband Norman) of Princeton, Edna Jones of Pine Level, and Anna Jean Mitchell (husband Paul) of Selma, grandchildren, David H. Baker, Melissa (Dawn) Hatcher, Newton Baker, Thurman R. Creech III, Elizabeth N. Creech, Stan Creech, Tiffany Rook, Brandy Mouser, April Creech, Hunter T. Parker, Heather R. Parker, Logan Capps, Bradley Braswell and twenty-two great grandchildren.
