Phyllis Sanderford Gullie 80 years old from Garner, North Carolina went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 10, 2023 after injuries from a car accident. Born on September 10, 1942 in Johnston County to the late John and Mavis Sanderford. Preceded in death by her sister, Betty Sanderford, sister, Rose House, brother, Jack Sanderford, and granddaughter, Nicole Stafford.
She is survived by a son, Daniel and wife, Tina Lee of Raleigh, NC, daughter, Teresa and husband Ronald Daniels of Smithfield, NC, daughter, Brenda and husband Joey Gibbs of Clayton, NC, sister, Lena Stone of Moncure, NC; brothers, Joe Sanderford of Moncure, NC, Paul Sanderford and wife Frances of Moncure, NC, granddaughters Savannah Lee of Raleigh, NC, Katie Williams and husband Joshua of Raleigh, NC, Summer and Madelyn Daniels of Smithfield, NC, grandsons, Matthew Lee of Raleigh , NC and David John Lee of Raleigh, NC., Great-grandchildren, Sabrina and Skylar Lee of Raleigh, NC and Adel Williams of Raleigh, NC, and a special, lifelong friend, Daniel Lee of Smithfield, NC, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves behind her greatest blessings her sweet dog "Saving Grace" Gracie.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and child of God. She had a love for fruits and vegetables and worked many years at the State Farmer's Market in Raleigh, NC selling produce. Her happiest moments of life were spent in the kitchen cooking for her family and sitting at her table reading her daily devotional books and her Bible everyday. Her first love was for Jesus and she would share this daily with her family and all people she encountered. Her greatest gift was being an amazing prayer warrior, prayers when she prayed were felt immediately. Her greatest blessings were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She talked about her children and all the grandchildren daily and was always so proud of their accomplishments. She will always be remembered for her sweet spirit, beautiful smile, love for Jesus and all people, and her favorite encouraging words, "Look up to Jesus". She leaves behind a great legacy for us all to always see the best in people no matter what the circumstance and to let our light shine for Jesus.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson's Mills Baptist Church with the interment to follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
