Smithfield---Nell Wood Lee, 88, of Lee Farm Lane, died at her home on February 4, 2020. Born in Johnston County on November 3, 1931, Nell was the daughter of the late Woodrow H. Wood and Irene Gower Wood. She was the widow of James Hugh Lee, who died in 1991.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Johnston Union Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Surviving are: sons; Daniel Lee of Hampton, GA, Jennings Lee of Smithfield, Michael Lee of Raleigh, Grady Lee and wife Ruth of Annapolis, MD; brothers; Dyrl Wood and wife Vara of Smithfield, Jerry Wood and wife Mary Lynn of Surf City, Dennis Wood and wife Sue of Little Rock, AR; sister-in-law, Faye Wood of Selma; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wood, and a sister, Diane Wood.

The family will receive friends at Underwood Funeral Home in Smithfield from 6 PM until 8PM on Friday, February 7, 2020.
