Grey had an incredible gift for connecting with people and making friends. Every time he walked into a room, people were immediately drawn to him. "His smile is just like sunshine," his grandmother said.

Grey never met a stranger and gave the most warm and comforting hugs. One of his friends Hank Whitley said: "He was a great man with an undeniable charm and infectious smile. He brightened the lives of every person who knew him."

He was beloved by many friends and had a special bond with his brothers. They were always there for each other in good times and bad. Grey adored his nieces and his 20-year-old cat, Haley.

Michael Grey Giddens was born on Feb. 3, 1979. On June 17, 2021, he went to be with our heavenly father and his earthly father Mike Giddens, who greeted him with open arms. Grey is survived by his mother, Clarisse Wilson Giddens; his brothers, Kevin and Corey; his sister-in-law Heather and his nieces Taydem, Presley, and Brooklyn and his great niece Aria.

A celebration of life will be held June 25 ^th , 2021 at 10:00 AM at Centenary United Methodist Church in Smithfield, NC. Family will receive friends following the service in the church's fellowship hall.
