Mary Louise Filicky, 89 of Smithfield, NC left her earthly life and moved to her heavenly home on October 2nd.  She passed in the arms of her sweetheart of 69 years and surrounded by her family in Topsail Beach, NC.

Mrs. Filicky was an active member of Whitley Memorial United Methodist Church for the last 50 years.  She was a volunteer at Johnston Health for over 19 years.  She was an amazing wife, mother, friend and Mema.  We will hold so many things about her close to our hearts forever, singing the 12 days of Christmas, the way she said Wooooo as she walked into the ocean, her ice cream and the way she loved our PapPap.  She was the center of our family and will be missed every day.

Mary Louise was born in Hempfield Township, PA to the late Ross. D Crusan and Evelyn Hays Cooper.  She was proceeded in death along with her parents by her sisters Shirley Wineman & Dot Alwine.

She is survived by her husband Edward (Bud) Filicky; children Carol Woodell (Van), John Filicky (Pam), Barbie Davis, sister; Barbra Wineman (George), Grandchildren; Marisa Allen (Marc), Mandi Woodell (Dave), Emily Mills (Aaron), Joshua Cooper (Julie), Jonathon Cooper (Megan), great granddaughters Eliana Criado and Gia Allen and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Thursday October 8 ^th , 11am at Whitley Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 Wilsons Mills Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.  All are welcome.  Masks are recommended.

Cremation was handled by Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC.
