LaRue Lassiter Rogers, age 60, of Princeton, passed away at Wake Medical Center on November 17, 2021.  Born in Johnston County on April 14, 1961, she was the daughter of the late James Garland and Eva Mae Langdon Lassiter.  LaRue was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Keith Rogers and her infant son Eric Keith Rogers.  She was a teacher with Johnston County Head Start for 21 years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial following in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 am and at other times at LaRue's home.

Surviving are her sisters, Judy Braswell and husband Glenn of Princeton, Merle Parrish of Smithfield, and Jean Barnes and husband Larry of Smithfield; and several nieces and nephews.
