Selma- Kevin Wayne Draper, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home in Selma. Born in Wilson County on December 9, 1971, he was a son to Carolyn Jeannette Frantom Eversoll and husband John of Murphy, and the late Alvis Paul Draper.

Kevin worked as a very talented carpenter for over 30 years, and was said to have worked best with his hands. He returned to school in 2008 to pursue a bachelors degree in Biotechnology. Kevin excelled academically, and completed his schooling and went on to work in the pharmaceutical industry. He was part of the ECU Alumni, and in his free time, enjoyed fast cars, being outdoors, tinkering, and playing pool. Kevin was a very independent, loving, inspiring, and dependable man who was always there for those he loved. He loved his family and friends dearly, although they would sometimes describe him as stubborn.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Maren Draper of Selma; daughter, Jesica Trogdon and husband Scott of Smithfield; son, James Price of Selma; brother, Todd Draper of Sanford; granddaughter, Paisley Trogdon of Smithfield; and many dear friends and family members.
