Selma- Kathy Ann Pittman Howell, age 65, died on Monday March 7, 2022 at The Laurels of Forest Glen Nursing Home in Garner. Born in Wake County on February 1, 1957, she was a daughter to the late Amos Jethro Pittman and Mary Lee Muphrey Pittman. Kathy worked as a CNA for over 30 years, she was a caring person who always did for others instead of herself.  In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, fishing, and collecting mementos that were given to her. Most of all, Kathy loved her family dearly and adored her 5 grandchildren. Her favorite times were times spent with family.

A graveside service will be held at The Hatcher cemetery in Selma at 11:00am on Thursday, March 10, 2022 with Rev. Walter Blackman officiating.

The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral home on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm the night before the service.

Kathy is survived by son, Marshall Howell and wife Cathy of Benson; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Mitchell of Kenly; brother, Donald Pittman and wife Rena of Clayton; sister, Ellen Blackman and husband Walter of Selma, five grandchildren, Justin Howell of Saratoga; Matthew Mitchell of Kenly; Destiny Mitchell of Kenly; Lily Howell of Benson; Andrew Austin John of Middlesex; and one great grandchild, Hazel Grace Howell of Saratoga.
