Pine Level - James Edward "Ed" Sullivan, age 67, a retired heavy equipment operator with the NCDOT, died Monday morning. Born November 16, 1944 in Johnston County to Ila Mae Davis Sullivan of Pine Level and the late Lenley Lee "Jack" Sullivan, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Sullivan.Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Diane Core Sullivan; son, Brian Sullivan of Pine Level and a daughter, Karen Sullivan of Pine Level.Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
