Selma – James Edward Brantley, age 57, passed away Sunday September 12, 2021 at the SECU Hospice house in Smithfield. Mr. Brantley was born in Wilson County on January 29, 1964. James is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Deans Mitchell as well as wife, Terry Lucas Brantley.

A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Sunday September 19, 2021 at 1 PM. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 PM to 1 PM. Burial will follow the service in Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside his mother.

Mr. Brantley is survived by father, Jimmy Brantley of Middlesex; son, Wesley Brantley of Sanford; step father, Tony Mitchell of Smithfield; sisters, Rhonda Tant and husband Robbie of Selma, Lisa Johnson of Buckeye, AZ; nieces, Destiny Peedin and husband John of Selma, Heather Scott and husband Allan of Yulle, FL; nephews, Lyle Johnson Jr. and Landon Blake Johnson of Buckeye, AZ.
