Raleigh – Helen Owen Parham age 93 passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, at The Rosewood at the Cypress of Raleigh. She was born in Person County on August 10, 1927 to the late William Jennings Owen and Relia Walker Owen. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by husband William Edward Parham of Smithfield. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday November 10, 2020 in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield with Rev. Lee Colbert officiating. Mrs. Parham is survived by daughters, Carol McGowan and husband David of Wilmington, Jane Howard and husband Paul Whit of Raleigh; grandchildren, David McGowan III and wife Carolyn, Jennings McGowan Lathan and husband Sam, Whit Howard and wife Hadley, and 6 great grandchildren.
