Smithfield - Ganice S. Kubik, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at her home.  Ms. Kubik was born on September 6, 1936 in Kearney, NE.  She was the daughter of the late Charles and Bernetta Sweeney of Wichita, KS and was preceded in death by her son, Douglas T. Kubik.

A celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Meagan Matthews officiating.  A private inurnment will be held prior to the service at Riverside Extension.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Kubik Sperry and husband Scott of Albany, GA and Julie Kubik Patrick of Smithfield; sister, Sharon P. Siegrist of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, John Bradley Sperry (Lindy) of Tampa, FL, Laura Lynne Sperry Powers (Rory) of Savannah, GA and Aaron Tyler Kubik of Fairbanks, AK and two great grandchildren Owen and Emilia Sperry of Tampa, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials, in honor of Ganice Kubik, may be made to the SECU Hospice House, P. O. Box 1376, Smithfield, NC  27577.
