Benson—-Eulee James "E.J." Stephens, 101 years old, passed from this earthly life, at his home in Benson, NC, on February 3, 2022.

Mr. Stephens was a carpenter by trade. And he continued with his passion for woodworking, as a hobby well into his eighties.

E.J. enjoyed a wide variety of interests…such as music, football, his Coca Cola and coffee, and even his chicken and rice!

But his greatest love…was for his family and friends.

Mr. Stephens was preceded in death, by his wife, Vivian Miley Stephens in 2011 and by his daughter, Connie Stephens King in 2019.

The family will receive friends at Underwood Funeral Home, on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Underwood Funeral Home.

With burial following the service, at Elizabeth United Methodist Church Cemetery on Cleveland Road.
