Kenly- Etta Marie Hodge age, 74 passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020. She was born on October 8, 1945 to the late James and Lizzie Hales in Wayne County. She is preceded in death by her sister Nettie Hales. Mrs. Etta was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Kenly. Mrs. Etta was a dedicated Christian lady who loved the Lord and loved her family dearly. She raised three sons and cared for her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Riverside Baptist Church in Kenly at 2:00 pm with an internment to follow at Bethany Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 pm.

Mrs. Etta is survived by her loving husband Gary Hodge, sons Chris Hodge and Gary Glenn Hodge of Middlesex, and William Tracey Hodge of Selma, brothers Earl Hales of Kenly, Melvin Hales of Utah, Edward Lee Hales of Kenly, Richard Allen Hales of Selma, Jimmy Hales of Smithfield and Charlie Hales of Kenly, sister Barbra Ann Atkinson of Selma, grandchildren Hailey and Emma Hodge, Lauren Windham and Pyper Elk, great grandchild, Lawson Hodge.
