Dorothy (Dot) Mosley Ellmore, 76, of Smithfield, NC passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021 surrounded by her 3 girls.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jannie Mosley; husband, Robert Ellmore. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Ward (Michael) of Smithfield, Elizabeth Ellmore of Graham, and Susan Northington (Josh) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Brier and Ellie Ward, Isaac and Gloria Northington; brother, Ralph (Juli) Mosley of Nashville, TN.

Dot graduated from the Rex Hospital School of Nursing and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She spent her life faithfully serving others through her career as a nurse at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, a member of the First Presbyterian Churches of Ahoskie and Smithfield, and a volunteer at the Johnston Health Cancer Center. She loved laughing and spending time with her family and friends, bringing immeasurable joy and a smile to those around her. Dot looked forward to serving Jesus in heaven.

Funeral will be held at 11:00 am on July 24 ^th at First Presbyterian Church Smithfield. Graveside Service to follow at 4:00 pm at the Ahoskie Cemetery.
