Smithfield – Donald Ray Tyner, age 80, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his home. Born October 8, 1940 in Wayne County he was a son of the late Ralph and Roxie Waddell Tyner. He was preceded in death by his brother, Grover Tyner; and sister, Janie Abbott. Donald was a member of Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pine Level.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Parrish Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice Baker Tyner; son, Tim Tyner and fiancée Franca Grillo of Kenly; brother, J.R. Tyner of Kenansville; sisters, Nettie Bennett and husband Bill of Princeton and Patricia Lewis of Morehead City; grandchildren, Keaton Tyner of Selma and Hunter Briley of Greenville; and great granddaughter, Lauren Briley.
