Smithfield- Daphne Sue Heath Edwards, age 61, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 30, 2021, in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born, May 7, 1960, in Onslow County, she was a daughter of C.W. and Mavis Marshburn. She is preceded in death by her father, C.W. Marshburn, brother, Allen Heath and sister, Donna Marshburn. Sue was a hard-working, loving and caring woman. She loved everyone she met and cared for them. She had a heart of gold and everyone that knew her loved her. She was a caregiver to many and she would help anytime, without hesitation. Sue was the owner of Millie's Hot Dogs in Smithfield and she loved to cook. She was also well known all around for her wonderful banana pudding. Most importantly she loved her family; her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was their rock and always will be.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive friends one hour before the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.

She leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Mr. Delaney Edwards, mother, Mavis Marshburn; daughters, Angel Edwards of Selma, Beverly Edwards (husband Keith Lee) of Smithfield, Elizabeth Ennis (husband Landon) of Smithfield, Charlotte Edwards (husband Adrian) of Princeton and Sabrina Cutchins (husband Jordan) of Bolivia; brothers, Ricky Heath of KY, Kenny Marshburn of Lexington and Carl Wayne Marshburn of Kinston; sisters, Carol Ennis of Smithfield and Helen Heath of KY; grandchildren, Destiny Clement, Gage Ennis, Rylee Ennis, Hailey Cutchins, Nathan Cutchins, Payton Cutchins, Monica Adams, Tabitha Recore, Shawna Recore, Grayce Blizzard, Kameron Edwards, Jamie Lee,  Timberlea Tyner, Ethan Lee, Adrian Durant Jr., Jayce Durant, Malaya Durant and Hardin Durant; great-grandchildren, Oakleigh, Paisley, Madelyn, Hayden, Halston and Archie, many nieces and nephews.
