Clara Imogene Coats Bijolle, age 84, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County on March 11, 1938, she was a daughter to the late Thurman Coats, Lottie Medlin Brady and her husband Odell Brady.

Clara enjoyed feeding and watching birds, and especially loved watching cardinals and hummingbirds.

She was loved by her family and friends for her quick wit and great sense of humor. She was a strong Christian and loved the Lord.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home.

In addition to her parents, Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bijolle, and sister, Alice Wood.

She is survived by her sons, Roger Keith Davis of Smithfield; Stephen Dock Seymour and wife Sharon of Snow Hill; daughters, Robin Applewhite and husband Derrick of Garner; Tammy Anastasia Donovan of Smithfield; grandchildren, Samantha Coats and husband Brad of Clayton; Courtney Applewhite and husband Martin Bell of London; Anastasia Ronczka and husband Joe of Zebulon; Derrick Applewhite Jr. of Clayton; Michelle Davis of Germany; Brandon Johnson of Selma; Joshua Johnson of Selma; and great grandchildren, Berkleigh Coats; Joey "Petey" Ronczka; Wesley; Cameron, Brandi, and Colton Johnson.
