Dunn – Arthur James Dickie, age 71, died Friday, June 19, 2020 in Duke University Hospital in Durham. Born March 28, 1949 in Cumberland County he was the son of the late William Houston Dickie and Jewel Cooper Robertson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Ray Bass. Arthur was best known for his laugh and great sense of humor. He was a loving father and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, working at Carlie C's in Dunn, and watching Nascar.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service.

Surviving are his son, AJ Dickie and wife Allison of Smithfield; grandchildren, Kyle Dickie and Taylor Dickie; niece, Robin Bass; nephew, D.J. Bass; and companion, Cathy Broome of the home.
