Wren Rice, age 56, of Selma, NC went home to be with our Lord on December 26,
2023.

Wren was born on January 9, 1967, in Toledo, Ohio to Robin Blount and the late John
Curtis Blount. She met the love of her life, David Rice at the young ages of 15 and 19.
They soon married and raised three children together. Their love story was an example
to their children, family and friends. Wren was an avid reader who loved her cats,
watching NASCAR, singing karaoke and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her father, Wren was preceded by her son, David Joel Rice and her
granddaughter, Olivia Wren Mauney.

Wren is survived by her husband of 38 years, David Rice, her son Raymond Rice of the
home; Daughter, Robin Mauney and husband Shawn Mauney of Kenly; Grandchildren,
Alexa Mauney, Matthew Mauney, Delilah Mauney and Nikolai Mauney; Mother, Robin
Blount of St. Paul's; sister's, Heather Oxendine and husband Joe Oxendine of
Lumberton, Denise Dodson and husband Rob Dodson of Kenly, and Amber Estella of
Clayton; and many special nieces and nephews.

Wren loved her family fiercely and will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother,
Maemaw, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt. She had a special gift of giving great, no-
nonsense advice, and her family and friends often looked to her for such. Wren was a
special person who will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Life is planned for Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM at New
Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church (1461 Jerusalem Church Rd., Kenly, NC).
