Willie Elwood Strickland, age 76, died Sunday, December 26, 2021 at his home in Greenville, NC.  Born January 18, 1945 in Johnston County to the late Willie Ellie and Hilda Virginia Parks, he was preceded in death by a brother Leon Earl Strickland.  Mr. Strickland was a retired copier service technician.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 31, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.  Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Daughtry Strickland; son, Scott Strickland and his wife Lynette of Greenville; daughter, Dawn S. Fall and her husband Craig of Smithfield; brothers, Jack Strickland of Kinston and Durwood Strickland and his wife Faye of Princeton; three grandchildren, Ashlyn Meade, Rebecca Speer, and Lauren Fall; three step-grandchildren, Kaleb Brown, Zoe Gisinski and Eva Gisinski and a great granddaughter, Letti Speer.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
