William "Dwight" Rowe, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born in Johnston County on October 23, 1942, he was a son to the late James Rowe and Ettie Creech Rowe.

Dwight was a lifetime member of Fellowship Community Methodist Church in Princeton. He was a farmer, and avid NC State Wolfpack fan, and enjoyed fishing as farming allowed and reading in his later years. Dwight loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family, especially his sisters in his later years.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Community Methodist Church in Princeton. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM, prior to the service.

In addition to his parents, Dwight is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Rowe; brothers, Ray Rowe; Linwood Rowe; and sisters, Laura Jones and Hilda Raper.

He is survived by his son, Todd Rowe and wife Carolyn of Clinton; daughter, Wendy Phillips and husband Joe of Princeton; sisters, Gertrude Narron of Princeton; Ann Abel of Goldsboro; Faye Patterson of Smithfield; grandchildren, Madison Melvin and husband Garrett of Clinton; Blaine Phillips of Princeton; Colby Phillips of Princeton; great grandchildren, Lilly Melvin and William Melvin of Clinton; numerous sisters-in-law, and other dear family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fellowship Community Methodist Church building fund, or Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.
