Selma – William Joseph “Joey” Creech, age 63, passed away Thursday June 18, 2026 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC. He was born in Johnston County on July 27, 1962 to the late Ed Creech and Jessie Peedin Creech. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Creech Jr; sister, Renee Creech; grandparents, William and Rena Peedin, Joe and Marian Creech.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday June 24, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel following the visit at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in Selma Memorial Gardens following the service.

He is survived by a brother, Jeffrey Creech of Selma; aunt, Linda Peedin of Selma; cousins, Tanya, Christie, Lori, Regina and Bobby.

Joey had a big heart and loved watching all sports, especially if NC State was playing. He attended NC State for a brief period of time and was an avid golfer.
