Warren Russell Swanson, age 55, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, in Iraq. Born in Rockford Illinois on April 17, 1968, to the late Leslie Swanson and Margaret (Young) Swanson. Warren is a US Navy Submarine Veteran who served from 1986 to 1994. After leaving the Navy, Warren was an over the road truck driver until 2004 when he began his career in aviation as an avionics technician. He started at Aero Contractors in 2004 and worked until 2015 when he joined ATK Northrop Grumman. Warren was married to his loving wife Laura (Millett) Swanson for 32 years.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Military Honors will be performed by the US Navy Honor Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laura Swanson, sons; Aarron Swanson of Smithfield, Warren Swanson Jr. of Smithfield, daughter, Margaret Swanson of Smithfield, brother, Alva Swanson of NH, sisters; Carolyn Schuring of IL, Beth Swanson of AZ, Sarah Hagen of AZ, and Amy Montgomery of AZ, as well as several cousins, nephews, and nieces.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Ron Brown and Tony Eubanks and his dear friends and coworkers from Northrop Grumman.
