Virginia Baker Johnson,  age 75, of Pine Level, joined Jesus  Friday morning at Sunnybrook Rehabilitation Center Raleigh NC. Born on July 3, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Easter Baker. Her husband was the late Jimmy Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Baker.

Virginia was the caretaker of many children for 40 years at her in-home daycare. Virginia was also a longtime member of the Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church. Virginia enjoyed vacationing at her beach camper, shopping and spending time with her family.

Virginia's favorite color was pink. We would like her celebration of life to be flooded with her favorite color. We request if you have any pink attire, to wear it to her service to honor her.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in Crocker Cemetery in Pine Level, NC, with Rev. Roger Banks officiating. Surviving family include: sons Jeffrey Johnson and wife Julie, Travis Johnson and wife Tanya ; daughter Tracy Brown and husband Derek; brother Earl Baker and wife Janice; sister Bernice Tyner and late husband Donald. Virginia had four grandchildren; Jordan Starling and husband Tyler, Traclyn Clark, Eli Johnson and Will Johnson.
