Clayton – Vernon Woodrum Buell, beloved husband, and father, passed away Tuesday August 6, 2024 at his home in Clayton. He was born in Mason, WV on December 15, 1959 to the late James Arthur Buell and Marie Soltesz Buell. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Tilley.

He is survived by wife of 43 years, Patty Buell of the home; sons, Chris Buell and wife Kristen of Raleigh, James Buell, and wife Rose of Clayton; daughter, Katie Peralta, and husband Josue of Wilson; sister, Susan King, and husband Woody of Warrenton; step mother, Ruth Buell; five grandchildren.

Mr. Vernon loved fishing and camping with his family, gardening, and being a mechanic.
