Tommie Pulley Woodard, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born on November 5, 1937, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Pauline Pulley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Shane Woodard and Patrick Batchelor.

Tommie was a devoted, strong, and loving mother who dedicated her life to her family. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Smithfield. Tommie loved working in her yard and took great joy in caring for her plants and flowers. She also enjoyed traveling and cooking, especially when it allowed her to spend time with those she loved. She was deeply devoted to her children and actively involved in all of their activities. Known for her strength and compassion, Tommie leaves a lasting legacy of love and dedication.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. until 2:50 p.m., at Parrish Funeral Home.

Tommie is survived by her daughter, Tammy Woodard Hollowell of Raleigh, NC; her sons, Brian Woodard, Sr. of Maysville, NC, and Reginald Woodard of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandsons, Darrin Peykamian of Cary, NC, and Brian Woodard, Jr. (Nicole) of Huntingtown, MD; her sister, Sandra White; and her brother, Travis Pulley.
