Tilboa “Duke” Radford Jr., age 79, passed away on Friday October 30, 2026 at ECU Health hospital in Grenville, NC. He was born in Johnston County on February 6, 1947 to the late Tilboa Radford Sr. and Lillian Gilmore Radford Edwards. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Radford and wife Linda, Kenneth Radford and wife Scarlett; sister, Rebecca Young; brother-in-law, Billy Talton.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parish Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 18, 2026.Burial will be held in Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro at 2:00 PM on Wednesday.

“Duke” is survived by his sons, Timmy and Kenny Wayne Radford; brothers and sisters, Rachel Talton, Albert Radford and wife Ellen, Phillip Radford and wife Laura, Susie Allen and husband Dennis; grandchildren, Savannah and Cody Radford; girlfriend, Dorothy Allen.

Mr. Radford proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service, Vietnam Campaign and Vietnam Service medal during his time in the Army. Friends and family will remember him for being a simple and humble man.
