Thomas Andrew Board of Clayton, North Carolina, passed away at home on October 26, 2026, at the age of 68.

Tom was born in Painesville, Ohio, to the late Patrick and Margaret Board. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1976. Shortly after graduating, Tom made his home in Largo, Florida, and later in Clayton, North Carolina, in 2017.

Tom was a beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and friend. A lifelong guitarist and musician, he loved playing the guitar with his band, and together with the love of his life and best friend, Shirley, who shared his passion for music. Tom had a gentle and giving nature, and spent time teaching and encouraging children to learn how to play guitar. He was also a maker and a craftsman, always tinkering, creating, and finding his next project.

Tom brought love, laughter, and countless cherished memories to those around him. His warmth and generosity, creativity, and love for music touched the lives of his family and friends, who will carry his memory in their hearts always. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
