Theodore "Ted" McKay, age 86, died Friday, March 1, 2024 at his home.  Born December 9, 1937, in Gladewater, TX to the late Lester Martin and Laural Bell Clark McKay, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard "Rick" McKay and a sister, Jean Coleman.  Ted was a member of the Wilsons's Mills Baptist Church since moving to the area 14 years ago.

A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilson's Mills Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rave officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 to 11, just prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, of 63 years, Joan F. McKay; son, Robert T. "Bob" McKay and his wife Jennifer and their children, Brandon McKay (Alise), their son, Jack, Shaun McKay and Christopher McKay; daughter, Rhonda T. Bennett and her husband Mark and their children Mikayla Riley (Zachary), Tristan Bennet (Daisy) and Riley Bennett; brother, Wayne McKay and sisters, Peggy Schlabah (Robert) and Cyndi Lord.
