Terresa Gayle Medlin Belcher, age 66, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born, August 2, 1960, in Georgia, she was the daughter of Thomas Haywood Medlin, Sr. and the late Viola Medlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Belcher; brother, Tony Medlin; and her infant son lost at birth. Terresa was a member of Parrish Memorial Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Parrish Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steven Walker officiating. A visitation will follow the memorial service.

Terresa is survived by her partner, Mike Cranny; father, Thomas Haywood Medlin, Sr.; son, Zachary Belcher; daughter, Melissa Hersh; grandsons, Joey, Wyatt, and Elijah Belcher; and brother, Tommy Medlin.

The family requests no home visitation but looks forward to celebrating Terresa’s life with all who loved her at the memorial service. Per Terresa's request, the family asks that guests wear bright colors to the memorial service.
