Susan C. Garner, age 75, died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at UNC Johnston Health surrounded by family. Born March 21, 1946 in Reidsville NC, Susan was a daughter to the late William Chaney and Erma Faircloth Chaney. Susan was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan R. Garner, brother, Ashley Chaney; and sister, Jackie Trent. Susan was an avid reader, an amazing cook, a great storyteller and joke teller. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Susan is survived by her husband, Terry R. Garner of Bayboro NC; son, Jason R. Garner and wife Leah of Smithfield NC; daughter, April Major and husband David of Louisburg; daughter-in-law, Lisa Garner of Willow Spring NC; sister, Ronalda Casson of Wake Forest; and grandchildren, Beth Garner, Katie Major, Austin Garner, Chris Major, and Patrick Garner.
