Smithfield – Stevie Wayne Collier, age 59, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born June 24, 1964 in Wilson County he was a son of Julia Reason Herman and the late James Collier. He was preceded in death by his sister, Genelle Johnson. Stevie was known as a family man. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies. He was known as the best PaPa ever. Stevie worked hard for his family. Always making sure they were taken care of and provided for. He was also known as a wonderful friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Jackie Collier; son, Justin Collier; daughters, Michelle Renee Palmiter, April Denise Christian, Leslie Anne Christian, Crystal Elizabeth Christian; and grandchildren, Quinton Geddie, Jr., Zadynn Christian, Ezra Christian, Laniyah Christian, Ariana Christian, and Lataya Christian.
