Princeton – Sidney Albert Wellons, III, died Friday, June 21, 2024, on the tobacco farm he grew up on.  He was born June 10, 1956, in Wayne County to the late Sidney Albert and Joyce Woodard Wellons.  Following his graduation from Princeton High School, he went to work with Pepsi Cola company as a deliveryman and quickly became a salesman for the company.  Sidney was a member of the Princeton Baptist Church and St. Patrick's Masonic Lodge #617 in Princeton, where he was a Past-Master and longtime Secretary.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rv. Dwayne Batten officiating.  Burial, with Masonic Rites, will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am just prior to the service.

Surviving are his daughters, Nicole Ogus and her husband Chris of Princeton and Natalie Braxton and her husband William of Clayton; brother, Bobby F. Wellons and his wife Christy of Princeton; sister, Polly Ellsweig of Greensboro and three grandchildren, Liam Braxton, Harlan Ogus and Saylor Ogus.
