Kenly – Shirley Ann Wall Pate, age 90, passed away Thursday November 27, 2025. She was born in Johnston County on November 15, 1935 to the late Needham Worley Wall and Bessie Brown Wall. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arthur Pate; a son, Charles (Chuck) Pate; daughter, Teresa Pate; brother, Norwood Wall; sister, Margie Brown; grandson, Caleb Pate.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Monday December 1, 2025 from 11 to 12. A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Monday at 12. Entombment will follow the service in Selma Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her son, Chris Pate and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Megan Barrett, Xan Pate, Connor Pate, Canden Pate, Cabe Pate; great grandchild, Bowen Barrett.
