Four Oaks – Sherry Hazel Stilwell Persson, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday July 26, 2024. She was born in Chenango County, NY on October 7, 1947 to the late Vyrle Stilwell and LaVonne Beers Stilwell.

The family will receive visitors at Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks on Friday August 9, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A memorial service will follow the visitation in the church at 6:00 PM.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Olmstead, and husband Roger of Benson; granddaughter, Grace Kathryn Olmstead, the light of her eye; cousin, Cindy Witkowski of Humble, TX;

Sherry loved being outdoors at all capacities whether it be fishing, hunting, or being in her flower garden. She was an avid reader as well. As a child she played piano and loved her horse named "Major." She was a lifetime member of the Newark Valley Onyx Chapter 196 Order of the Eastern Star.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Smithfield Firemen's   Association.
