Sebastian Heath White, 1 month, lost his last battle on August 2, 2026, surrounded by the love and presence of his parents.

Born on July 2, 2026 at UNC Children’s Hospital to parents Kara and Patrick White, Sebastian was born at just 27 weeks. From the very beginning, Sebastian was a fighter. He faced each day with incredible strength and courage, fighting harder than anyone could have imagined. His tiny life was filled with a love that was anything but small. Sebastian will forever be cherished by his loving parents. Though they were given only one precious month with their son, they filled his days with endless love, gentle touches, prayers, and precious moments that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the NICU staff at UNC Children’s Hospital for the extraordinary care, compassion, and love they gave Sebastian during his time in the hospital. Their dedication and kindness brought comfort to Sebastian and his family during some of the most difficult days imaginable.

Though his time on earth was brief, the impact Sebastian made on the hearts of all who loved him will last forever.

Sebastian is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Judy Price White.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, Bill and Judy Brown and Thomas and Donita White; great grandmother Rolanna Brown; uncle LB Brown (Claire), aunt Emily Casey (Brandon), uncle Matthew White (Robyn), aunt Kara Fisher (Jon), and aunt Krista Thompson. He is also survived by many loving cousins who will miss him dearly; Carter, Bennett, Ashton, Brett, Liza, Grace, Camdyn, Grayson, Lennon, Whitt, and Marlowe. Many great aunts and uncles also held a special place in their hearts for Sebastian.

A memorial service to celebrate Sebastian’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00PM. The service will follow at 7:00PM.
