Selma – Sarah Gwendolyn Langdon Lynch, age 88, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in her home of Selma. Born, March 5, 1936, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late George Mack Langdon and Bernice Thornton Langdon. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Braxton Ray Lynch as well as sisters, Connie Pearce and Patty Brown, great-grandchild, Carter Joseph Perdue. She was a member of Selma Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a part of the hostess ministry at Selma Baptist. She graduated from Wilson's Mills High School in 1954. She played basketball in high school. After high school, she attended Highsmith Nursing School in Fayetteville. She set her career aside to take care of her children. She was a loving wife and mother. She was an excellent cook and baker. Sarah enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. She also enjoyed watching the birds and being outdoors. Sarah was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her favorite hobby.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Selma Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her three children, Stephen Lynch (Ginger) of Fletcher; Samuel Lynch (Margaret) of Cumming, GA; and Lisa Kramp (Dave) of Selma; brother, Mack Langdon (Lori) of Smithfield; grandchildren, Brandon Lynch (Casey), Lindsey Siver (Shane), Matt Kramp (Sarah), Adam Kramp, Kyle Kramp (Carissa), Brittany Lynch, Courtney Lynch, David Nelson, and Charlie Nelson; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Lynch, Charlotte Lynch, Jack Lynch, Cody Siver, Braxton Kramp, and Finley Kramp; and many nieces and nephews.
