Selma – Sally Katherine Bailey, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 16, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born in Johnston County on January 7, 1940 to the late Clarence Vernon Bailey Sr. and Letha Eason Bailey. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Clarence "CV" Bailey Jr.

A graveside service will be held in Selma Memorial Gardens on Monday June 24, 2024 at 10 AM.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Chamblee (Flo) of Statesboro, GA; sister-in-law, Alice Bailey of Selma; nephew, Neal Bailey; niece, Kimberly Ward. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Michael Norton for his dedication to Sally.

Sally was a life time member at Wilson's Mills Christian Church and played piano and organ for the church for many years. She enjoyed gardening, bluegrass music, watching westerns and spending time with her church family. Sally grew up on a farm and worked in the banking industry. She was a bank teller at the Pine Level bank and worked at First Citizens in Raleigh.
