Princeton- Russell Edward Holloman, age 81, died January 8, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House. He was born October 15, 1942 in Johnston County to the late George and Myrtie Holloman. He was preceded in death by his wife Delma Gainey Holloman, sons, Tommy Holloman and Ray "Tony" Vaughn; brothers, George "Buck" Holloman and Marshall Holloman; sisters, Venita Stallings, Marguerite Alley, Peggy Thompson and Myrtle Mae Sauls.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Walker officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm just prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Holloman Family Cemetery.

Surviving are his children, Christopher Holloman of Lillington, Shelia Creech and husband Rick of Princeton, Keith Vaughn and wife Lisa of Pine Level, Phyllis Hudson and husband Warren of Selma and Edward Holloman and wife Frances; 8 grandchildren, Karen Wessberg and husband Erik of Kenly, Kimberly Hardwick and husband Billy of Poquoson, VA, Nicole Holloman of Four Oaks, Dusty Ferrell and husband Tony of Selma, Brandon Vaughn of Raleigh, Ashley Gibbons of Kenly, Brian Vaughn of Langley Air Force Base Hampton, Va. and DeWayne Holloman of Four Oaks; 11 great grandchildren, Kasey Hales and husband Bradley, Madison Wright, Patrick Wessberg, Lexie Hudson, Kobe Gibbons, Maggie Ferrell, Tyler and Ethan Harwick, Savannah and D.J. Aguilar and Kristen Holloman;  siblings, Larry Holloman of Selma, Brenda Sue Snodgrass of Wake Forest, Linda Rose Edwards (Jim) of Calabash, Mary Holloman McDaniels (Buddy) of Selma, and Bernice Ray Holloman (Debbie) of Selma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the SECU Hospice House 426 Hospital Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577.
