Roy Wilson Adams, age 77, passed away Tuesday August 20, 2024 at Duke University Hospital in Durham. He was born in Johnston County on July 23, 1947 to the late George Sidney Adams and Lossie Guin Adams.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Tuesday August 27, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. A graveside service will be held following the visitation on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.

Roy is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kelly, and husband Herbert of Midway, GA; son, Patrick Adams and wife Marisa of Mons, Belgium; daughter, Kathy (Jeanelle) Jackson and husband Rahsaan of Leesville, LA; brothers, George Adams, Joseph Victor Adams and Louis Guin; sister, Kathy Pendergraph, and husband David; grandchildren, Matthew Jackson, Danielle Towery, Roderick Towery; 5 great grandchildren; sweet heart and friend, Connie Bryant.

Mr. Adams proudly served his country and retired from the Army after 21 years of faithful service and duty, including his time served in Vietnam. He was a native of Johnston County and enjoyed spending time eating and talking at Bojangles and watching westerns, specifically "Gun Smoke."
