Selma – Rose Sullivan Watson, age 83, passed away Sunday August 6, 2023 at her daughters' home in Clayton. She was born in Johnston County on July 26, 1940 to the late Lessie Sullivan and Ruby Avery Sullivan. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Watson; brother, Vern Sullivan.

The family will receive visitors at Live Oak Baptist Church in Selma on Thursday August 10, 2023 from 10 AM to 11 AM. A funeral service will follow visitation in the church on Thursday at 11 AM. Burial will follow the funeral service in Sullivan Family Cemetery in Selma.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Erica Bugg and husband Chad of Clayton; son, Dane Watson of Pensacola, FL; sister, Connie Hathaway and husband Avery of Mills River; grandchildren, Ashley Young and husband Brandon, Tanner Lilly, Brittany Watson Desmond; great grandchildren, Kendall Young, Karsen Young, Everette Desmond and Molly Desmond.
