Clayton – Ronnie Clark Ginn, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in UNC Johnston Health of Smithfield. Born, January 21, 1958, in Wayne County, he was a son of the late Wilmond and Penny Ginn. Ronnie was a musician and he loved playing his guitar, everywhere he went he had his guitar. Ronnie loved playing in front of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. He was a father of two, a brother and an uncle. He will be missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. His remains will be interred in Mount Olive Cemetery beside his family.

He is survived by his son, Ronnie Ginn Jr., daughter, Tasha Carter of Smithfield; brothers, Gary Ginn of Clayton, Timmy Ginn (Lynn Howell) of Pikeville, Wilmond Ginn (Vicky) of Goldsboro; sisters, Elaine Pounds (Donnie) of Clayton, Patricia Perritt of SC; nieces, Penny Taylor Pounds, Nicole Owen, April Woodruff, Amber Hill, Katlyn Howell, Valarie Morrell, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one more on the way.
