Robert Lee Sellers, affectionately known as "Poochie", passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at his home in Selma. Born January 3, 1960, he was the son of the late Oscar Braxton Sellers and Alma Eason Sellers. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brothers, John Sellers, Mickey Sellers, Oscar Sellers Jr., and Kenneth Sellers; and his sister, Betty Benson.

Robert worked for the cotton mill until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and working in his yard.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, beginning at 3:00pm, in Price Cemetery in Selma. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Johnston County Animal Services Attn: Friends of Johnston County 115 Shelter Way Smithfield, NC 27577.

Robert is lovingly survived by his sons; Jeffrey Sellers, Matthew Sellers (Angel), and Christopher Sellers; brothers, Arthur Sellers and James Sellers (Doris); sisters, Josephine Narron, Ruby Hayes (Donald), Linda Coley, Coleen Collier, and Kathy Edwards; grandchildren, Jacob Sellers, Caleb Sellers, Aiden Sellers, Carson Sellers, Adalynn Sellers, and Aubree Sellers, as well as many nieces and nephews.
