Starts at 11:00 am (Eastern time)
Robert Lynn Capps, 59, of Four Oaks, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the SECU Hospice House. Born July 1, 1967, he was the son of the late Robert Edward Capps and Gale Myers Capps. In addition to his parents, Lynn is preceded in death by his wife, Debra McNeece Capps.
Lynn was a one-of-a-kind man who found joy in the simple things in life and in the people, animals, and traditions he loved. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He enjoyed a good cookout or pig picking and took pride in building his own pig cooker, bringing his talents and hard work together with his love of gathering people around good food and good times.
Lynn was a talented carpenter who could build, repair, and create things with his own two hands. He was a hardworking man who took pride in what he could accomplish. He also believed in giving back to his community and proudly volunteered with the Micro Fire Department, serving others whenever he could.
When he wasn't outdoors or working with his hands, Lynn enjoyed watching wrestling and had a special appreciation for old tractors. He also had a deep love for his dogs, who were never "just dogs" to him—they were family. They brought him companionship, comfort, and countless happy moments.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 11:00am, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the SECU Hospice House at Johnston Health Foundation Attn: Hospice Fund P.O. Lynn is survived by his sons, Jamie Capps and Robbie Capps; brother, Dewayne Capps and his wife Stephanie; nephew, Tyler Capps and his wife Tabitha; and granddaughter, Addison Capps.
Lynn will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his many talents, his love of the outdoors, his willingness to help others, and the simple pleasures that made him happy.
