Clayton – Robert Fredrick Henderson, age 80, passed away Saturday August 2, 2025 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. He was born in Columbus, OH on January 1, 1944 to the late Sumner Henderson and Henrietta Duelle Henderson. In addition to his father and mother he is also preceded in death by his wife, Pam Henderson; brother, Rick Henderson;

He is survived by his son, Brian Henderson; daughter, Katie Schaap; grandchildren, Skylee Chase, Keile, Garrett, Zack, Zane, Conor and Jackson;

Mr. Henderson was a Master Educator for over 50 years and received numerous awards. At one point in his career, he assisted in starting a charter school in Tarboro.
