Selma – Richard Carroll Oliver, age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 16, 2025 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County on October 24, 1941 to the late Jack Oliver and Lucy Oliver. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jones; brothers, Kenneth  Oliver, Ronald Oliver and Donald Oliver.

A celebration of life will be held in Branch Chapel FWB Church on Saturday February 22, 2025 at 11 AM.

Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife, Brenda Oliver of Selma; brother, Ricky Oliver; sisters, Marilyn Mozingo and Mavorine Willoughby; granddaughter, Kristal Lynn Tyler.

Richard was a member of Branch Chapel FWB Church. He enjoyed fishing and a good nap, especially after a meal and eating at Bojangles.
