Smithfield- Rebecca Danielle Ham, age 37, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. She was born in Davidson County TN on January 16, 1983 to Pastor Ricky and Connie Hope Ham. Rebecca graduated college with a Master's Degree in English education and began her career as a teacher. She taught at Bethel Christian Academy in South Roxana, IL and most recently at Southside Christian School. She served both long and short terms in the mission field as a teacher in many countries including; Guatemala, Honduras, Ethiopia, and China. Rebecca was a very gifted vocalist who loved to sing. Rebecca was a member of West Calvary Baptist Church in Smithfield.

A private family only graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister, Rachel Brewster and husband Logan of Ridgeway SC, brothers, Joshua and wife Candace Ham of Lynchburg, VA, Caleb Ham and fiancée Lauri Johnson of Smithfield; uncle Mark Hope and wife Susie; aunt, Christy Hope; uncle, Ronnie Ham and wife Mary; aunt, Gail Stroud and husband Steve; grandparents, Linwood and Louise Ham; niece Bianca Ham; and nephew, Isaac Ham.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to West Calvary F.W.B. Church at P.O. Box 1001 Smithfield, NC.
