Smithfield – Rayvon Hayes, age 64, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Johnston UNC Health in Smithfield. Born April 12, 1957 in Wayne County he was a son of the late Lloyd and Edna Earl Strickland Hayes. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Messer, Teresa Tyree, Cathy Hayes and Deborah Heath; brother, Clifton Hayes; and nephew, Timmy Hayes.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Hayes; daughters, Sandra "Katie" Williams and Linda Gail Turnage; son, Donald Ray Hayes; stepdaughters, Tabitha Lea Baker, Kathy Marie Baker, Amy Dawn Baker and Wendy Barbour; stepsons, Timmy Bruce Baker, Terry Clee Baker, Jeff Harris, Roger Martinez and Jamie Valadez; brothers, David Lee Hayes and Joe Hayes; sisters, Linda Stephenson and Sylvia Wall; nephews, Thomas Peedin, Coy Radord, Joseph Woodall, Tyler Hayes and Daniel Wall; nieces, Anna Radford, Jessica Diaz and Crystal Peedin; and many grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Parrish Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
